Horizontal Converter

 

The horizontal converter is a smelting equipment that blows matte or ice nickel into blister copper or high-ice nickel during the smelting process of non-ferrous metals such as copper and nickel. The specifications are expressed in terms of each output. The furnace body is cylindrical (see Figure 1), and the middle part is provided with a furnace mouth for feeding, exhausting and discharging . An air outlet is provided on the furnace side in the horizontal direction to blow in air. The horizontal converter lining is made of magnesia or chrome-magnesium refractory. The inner diameter of the modern large horizontal converter is about 4 meters and the length is about 9 meters.
