Supporting Technology for Copper Pyrometallurgy

1.1.High-As copper concentrate treatment technolog;

When  bath  smelting  technology  is  used  to  treat  high-As  copper concentrate, most of the As goes into process off-gas in the form of  As2O3 . Offgas, after waste heat recovery in WHB and dust collection in ESP, is mist-sprayed and quenched so that As in offgas can    quickly crystallize. As2O3  powder is collected by bag filter before  undergoing As refining to obtain As metal or alloy. This technolo gy, enabling a production of high-purity product and safe and easily-controlled collection process, has successfully commercialized in Humon Copper Smelter using a complete set of equipment.

 

1.2.Copper Smelting Slag Treatment Technology

To deal with demerits of traditional copper smelting slag slow-cooling and flotation  process  including  large  footprint,  high  capital  cost,  steam   pollution,  stockpile trouble for tailings,  etc., TOMINE has  independently researched and developed a new smelting slag treatment process  hot smelting slag comprehensive recovery technology. With this technology, hot smelting slag flows via launder into the CR (Comprehensive Recovery) furnace, and reductant is injected into furnace for fuming reduction and electron thermal cleaning to obtain discard slag and copper matte. This technology enables a comprehensive recovery    of such valuable metals as copper and zinc while  treating  smelting  slag  in  a  harmless way,  being featured with  small  footprint, low capital cost, good environment performance and  prominent overall benefits.
